Quality
We Know What it All Depends On
As a manufacturer, compliance with the highest quality standards is a matter of course for us.
Safety-relevant components in particular are subject to the strictest specifications in checking the material quality and fitting accuracy.
In order to meet demand across the entire product range, various centrally controlled departments for quality management work closely together.
Quality procedures are based on extensive, repeatedly carried out product tests - both before inclusion in the range and after.
Tests Down to the Smallest Detail
In the state-of-the-art testing laboratories of the bilstein group, various replacement parts are examined in detail.
The process for determining quality includes destructive and non-destructive tests. Among other things, we have electronic parts examined with an X-ray machine (in an external laboratory), which can be used to precisely detect production defects inside a housing.
The dimensions (accuracy of fit) and the material are among the most crucial tests required. To improve our product lines, we report optimisation potential back to the suppliers - making an active contribution to the development of our partner producers.
Guarantee
Manufacturer Guarantee for All bilstein group Brands
With its products, the bilstein group stands for the highest quality in the Independent Aftermarket. To underline this promise, the company introduced a manufacturer's guarantee for its three brands in 2020.
The manufacturer's guarantee is valid for three years and for all replacement parts in the range. This gives customers a clear sign that they can trust our products at all times.

Logistics
To ensure the global availability of its products and services, the bilstein group continuously invests in expanding its logistics capabilities.
We have taken steps to ensure that we can offer our customers a comprehensive range of parts and reliable logistics services at all times. This makes the bilstein group a guarantee of customer-friendly stock management.
The most significant development in recent years was the opening of our second major logistics centre in Germany in 2022. At a cost of 120 million euros, the construction of the facility in Gelsenkirchen was the largest investment in the history of the bilstein group and a key step towards optimising our entire supply chain.
Since it was built, the site has already been expanded twice: “Back then, during the logistics planning phase, we deliberately opted for a phased approach and left the gap between the high-bay pallet warehouse and the automated small parts warehouse as space for future expansion. This expansion area was developed as Phase 1b with an additional high-bay pallet warehouse and went into operation in July 2025,” says Felix Wortmann, Divisional Manager Group Logistics and Project Manager. 60,000 additional pallet spaces and an improved material flow are the result of this first phase of expansion.
At the same time, work had already begun on planning for Phase 2 of the expansion. This is now being implemented: according to current plans, Phase 2a will see the construction of a further small-parts warehouse with with approximately 100,000 container storage locations. “The shuttle system will be built right next to the existing container warehouse,” reports Wortmann. “Additional picking workstations will be created in the existing building: a total of 24 workstations, some of which will be equipped for robotic picking, are being installed.” The go-live for this part of the expansion is scheduled for the end of the third quarter of 2028.
Stage 2b then brings a major expansion in a further step:
- approximately 200,000 pallet storage locations
- more than 400,000 container storage locations
The go-live for this construction phase is scheduled for the third quarter of 2029.
“The logistics centre has significantly expanded our logistics capacity. These improvements will help the bilstein group to support its customers even better,” concludes Wortmann.
Always close to our customers
Gelsenkirchen joins our existing 13 warehouse locations worldwide. In total, the bilstein group now has a warehouse area of more than 195,000 square metres.
In addition to Germany, we operate logistics centres in China, France, Italy, Portugal, Serbia, Spain, Singapore, Turkey and the UK. With the acquisition of the Mexican spare parts specialist INTERAUTO in 2025, we also have warehouse space in Central America. This means we are always close to our customers and can provide them with personalised support. To serve them even better in future, we will be connecting all our global sites into a virtual logistics hub over the coming years.
Our latest investment sends a clear signal to the market: the bilstein group remains committed to growth and strengthening the Independent Aftermarket.
We create logistics solutions that enable sustainable growth for us and our international partners, thereby ensuring future-oriented development. Or, to put it more simply:
